Cryotherapy is when athletes partake in emerging themselves into an icy bath.  The cryotherapy chamber has a temperate of -166 degrees Fahrenheit and are intended to help athletes recover from vigorous workout routines and fitness performances.  The supra-subzero temperatures are intended to heal athletes faster than that of the normal “icing on the joint that hurts.”  Many studies have been conducted indicating athletes that took part in cryotherapy freezing reportedly felt less sore much faster.  The athletes stay in the freezing ice bath for no more than 2 to 3 minutes at a time and are believed to be the best remedy to fight the soreness process.  This chamber has proven to lower muscle inflammation, which is thought to help muscle recover faster.
